Getting Colder

I woke up this morning around 7ish with Rob and it was freezing in our room! He had totally forgot to crack the window just a little. Instead it was WIDE open and the wind was blowing in. How I didn't wake up and realize it was that cold in the middle of the night, I have no clue...but it was cold. We woke up to 49 degree weather. Now, that's chilly for Florida. I don't wish for the cold weather you guys are getting in Indy at all. See, when I say that I am homesick, I mean it that I'm homesick. But without the cold Indy wintery weather. You dig?

So, over the weekend was my birthday. (The 22nd) I turned 23 also.... Man I'm old. Anyway, a lot of people knew, yet didn't attempt to wish me a Happy Birthday. For those of you who did, thank you very much! I was very upset with a few people b/c every year, it never changed. They wished me a Happy Birthday for as long as I can remember, but the year I move away from everyone, it's like they totally forgot. Like as if I was supposed to be present in Indy just to remind them, that hey... It's Angela's Birthday today! At least that's how I felt this year. I only got a birthday wish from 3 people in Indy this year. Verses the dozen I usually got in the past. That's bad. And a few people that knew it was my birthday, but either forgot to call b/c they "lost my number" or just thought it was a different day, I was definitely disappointed with this year. The sad part about it was, it wasn't just a few friends that forgot, it was family too. I'm not upset or anything, I was just disappointed. It's over and done with. Besides, I don't celebrate my birthday at all anymore. It's just another day for me. But thank you for all the gifts, and all.

    As for gifts.. I got some nice stuff from people. (only 3 people) Rob got me concert tickets to a couple bands that are coming in November. (Godsmack and Breaking Benjamin) I'm very excited about that!! He got me the Fox and the Hound DVD which just came out. I've loved that movie since I was little! He also got me a subscription to CBS soaps digest. (Yes, I'm bringing out my nerdy-self) I will admit, I'm addicted to soap operas. LOL!! He wrote me a poem like he always does (Awww) and got me a rose to go with it. It was very sweet and nice.
    My roomates Andrea and Justin together got me a couple charms to fill my bracelet (Peeps and I love Soap Operas w/a little TV), she finished my collection of Carebears and got me Swift Heart Rabbit. (Very cute!!) and she got me some scented body powder that Avon discontinued a long time ago. Very awesome gifts.
    My parents didn't have very much time to shop for me. Although, I didn't want much from them anyway. They've been working on the house so much, my birthday just came up so quickly they didn't have much time! It's ok though. They got me (actually for both rob and myself) a spung and a shammy for our cars to clean with! Very nice. They also got me a 25 dollar gift card to Target. I was diggin' that! But all in all, my gifts were all very nice. And of course, I got a card from my grandma and rob's mom! Awww. I was really happy to see those.

But anyway, my job is going great! I love it! I love what I do! Some parts are stressful and hard, but you're going to find that anywhere!! My hours are M-W-F 9:30-6:30 usually and T-Th I usually have off unless I need to go in for a few hours and finish work. It's really nice. I get paid 10 an hour and usually get around 30 hours a week. That's enough for me especially with Rob's job now.

Rob and I have been looking around for furniture lately just to get an idea of what we'd like when we do finally get our own place. I am really ready for our own place. Not that I'm tired living with our friends, but we're definitely ready to have our space. Next year, come this time, we'll have that. *smiles*
