The Nerve of Old People...

Question to all of you..

What is the first thought that comes to your mind, say when someone standing next to you drops a ton of things inside a store and such?

-My first thought or action is to help the other person, b/c it's the nice thing to do AND obviously everyone is looking at them and it's quite embarassing..Right?

Ok, my story. I am at borders in Sarasota and they have a sale on Calendars for 50% off. There are a few older people just standing reading the calendars..No big deal...I'll just walk around. Well as I'm walking around and looking for a certain calendar, the whole row just falls on top of me.. Yeah, it's kinda funny at the time, but there's an old man standing right next to me reading a "Bush" calendar...I'm like crap....so i bend down and start picking them up. What does this old fart do? He totally takes his foot and kicks a few my way bumping the rest of them in my hand, so they all fall once again. I just happen to look up and he's totally smiling at me like HE thought it was funny. So, I speak up and say, "No, it's ok I'll pick it up myself thanks." Then he smarts back and says "I wasnt the one who dropped them all over the floor, you expect me to pick them up?" In the meantime, I"m picking all of these calendars up while smarting off right back to this old man.. I respond, "No, but the nice thing to do would be to help even if it wasn't you that made the mess, but I completely understand because the majority of you people think that because you are old and feeble we have to feel sorry for you right?" Then I said "screw you" and walked away...

So maybe I was a little harsh to the old fart, but he really deserved it. I am sorry, but even if you're like 80+ years old, I will not take crap like that from anyone. All he had to do was help just a little..It would have been nice, but he had to make that one stupid move and shove the calendars towards me..Bad move. Maybe I'm just way too nice, b/c I have helped many people many times in situations like that.

Anyway, that's my story..Great isn't it?
