Friday the 29th I picked up Megan and Kyle up at the Tampa airport. We had to wait a while for their luggage b/c there were like 4 different flights on 1 baggage claim! Crazy! Anywho, from there we just went back to the apartment where Rob was and we were finally home!! We didn't do much that night..just attempted to go out to eat at this Italian place, but it was really packed so we just ordered Pizza in. That's always fun!! Rob and Kyle went to get the Pizza in the Beemer while Meg and I had our girl time! (We needed it!!!) We just hung out and had a blast the rest of the night..
Saturday morning, we all woke up around 9am b/c Rob and Kyle were going to get our roomies from the Tampa airport at 10:30. So, Meg and I just sat out on the balcony/screened-in porch and just talked, had some Kool-aid, and enjoyed the beautiful Florida weather. We went out to eat for lunch at this place called Cheeburger Cheeburger..GREAT place btw! They are obviously known for their Cheeseburgers..they were awesome! We then went to St. Armand's in Sarasota and walked around and looked at all the cool shops. Meg and I made a bracelet together (which looks really cool btw) while the boys just sat and talked about cars all day. (Now Rob took advantage of this car
talk all weekend, because down here, he doesn't have anyone to talk
about car stuff with except for me..but that's totally cool with me b/c
I don't mind listening in about car talk).Afterwards, we headed to the beach to watch the sun set. Very pretty and I have a couple pictures that I'm going to post sometime soon from it. Saturday night, we went to Clearwater to this place called QSL (Quaker Steak and Lube) I'm sure you are all familiar with it b/c Rob talks about it a lot. Came back and did our "usual".
Sunday we got off on a later start which was ok, b/c we didn't have much planned. We went out for Breakfast to Peach's and did a little shopping after that for personal stuff. Sunday afternoon we just hung around the apartment for a little bit and just relaxed so we could get ready and pumped for the New Year. Megan and I went to Wal-mart to pick up a few things for the night and took our sweet ole' time..Even though we both HATE Wal-mart, it was fun!! It's always fun with her! After her and I got back, we all went to Firehouse Subs for dinner. Then, that's basically when our night started. I sat out on the porch for a while talking with Andrea and caught Meg falling asleep on the couch!! How dare her!! LOL...got some Alcohol in her and then she was just fine! It was such a fun night, I think that was probably one of the best New Year's I've had in a while! I did miss some people though and thought about them quite a bit b/c we are so far away.
Monday was pretty short and sweet. We all got up around 8:30am and got ready to take Megan and Kyle to the airport by 9:30am. We were all pretty tired so the drive was kinda quiet, but that's alright. Saying goodbye wasn't as hard as I thought it would be b/c I know that when I see them next time, it will be the same all over again. That's how it should be..
So ok..I know this was a long update, but I would hope that the title would automatically tell you that it's long. So anyway, once again to our loyal readers, I hope you all had a great New Years!!
